Teotitlán del Valle is a town located in the central valleys of Oaxaca, belongs to the district of Tlacolula, located 30 kilometers from the city of Oaxaca.
This town was originally named Teocaltitlan, currently named Teotitlán, its meaning comes from two Nahuatl words: “Land of Gods”, Teotl: God, Calli: house, Titlan: Between. It is called: “Between the House of God”.
