Huatulco

General Information

Formed by nine bays of brilliant indigo blue waters. It is located on the southern coast of the Mexican Pacific; it has the most beautiful natural scenery accompanied by the imposing Sierra Madre del Sur with 21,000 hectares of vegetation. Huatulco is the perfect place to practice alternative tourism and ecotourism. Attractions & Tours

The diversity of options that Huatulco offers makes it a place where you can enjoy its beaches in any of its nine bays. You can relax, sunbathe and enjoy a connection with nature, there are guided tours in which you can visit one of the bays to see Tangolunda, Santa Cruz and Conejos, get to the town of La Crucecita and get very nice local crafts.

Enjoy a rafting or kayaking tour on the Copalita River or some exciting adventure sport in the mountainous formations of the region or spend a day full of excitement practicing deep sea diving and conclude the day diving among the beautiful reefs of the bays.

Nestled in the mountains and the ocean is one of the best golf courses in the Mexican Pacific, here you can enjoy 18 holes in which the 13th hole will give you a panoramic view of Tangolunda, the name given to this golf course.

 

Connectivity

The Huatulco Bays International Airport serves this Pacific tourist region, located in the state of Oaxaca. In addition to domestic flights, it operates regular international and seasonal flights in the United States and Canada. It receives an average of 900,000 passengers with regular and charter flights to more than 50 destinations.

You can also enjoy the most traditional drink of Oaxaca, The Mezcal obtained from the destillation of the penca del maguey or agave, it vary form quality and price  where you can find it at La Crucecita.

Beaches

To enjoy each of its beautiful beaches is important to visit the bays detailing the most recognized.

Bahía Santa Cruz, here you will find beautiful beaches like, La Entrega, Yerbabuena and Punta Santa Cruz, with hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, handicraft markets. Also you will find the deep pier for cruise ships and a marina for yachts and fishing boats.

Tangolunda Bay, here you will find the hotel infrastructure, residential subdivisions and an expanding commercial area.

Chahué Bay, this bay has beautiful and extensive blue waters with three beaches, Chahué, La Esperanza and Tejón, with very little activity are optimal for those who want to relax in privacy with the sea. The activities you can do in this bay are from swimming, snorkeling, jet skiing or a walk along the beach because it offers a wonderful view.

Maguey Bay and the Órgano are almost connected bays, both have fine white sands and gentle waves, the differences between the two is not much, both offer calm sea where you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling or even rent a water motor, a banana ride or a boat ride.
