San Agustin, Etla is located just 15 kilometers north of Oaxaca City, it is an important center for arts. The Centro de las Artes de San Agust\u00edn, the first ecological center in Latin America, is committed to training, creation and experimentation. Likewise, in its role as a public space, CASA defines itself as a plural forum that promotes reflection and analysis, the setting is a former spinning and weaving factory built in 1883, a must-see.<\/p>\n

Etla valley in Oaxaca is an important archeological site located northeast close to Monte Alban<\/h2>\n

Existed for more than 3,500 years. It was possibly the first town to be founded in the village and was the largest of that time, including the lands of Guadalupe Etla.<\/p>\n

A popular museum and site of the ruins of San Jos\u00e9 el Mogote land of San Sebastian Etla. This ruins stand of particular importance, as they were part of the Zapotec capital of Oaxaca, before being supplanted by Monte Alban. After the construction of the site of San Jos\u00e9 el Mogote, Etla became less and less important until its eventual abandonment.<\/p>\n

Its culture predecessors of the famous city of Monte Alb\u00e1n, they were first defined at this site. During the heyday of this center, San Jos\u00e9 Mogote served as the head of the Etla Valley.<\/p>\n

The city also had its own palace, temples and ball game. Was abandoned about 400 years before Christ, just before the arrival of the Spaniards, it was reoccupied as a small peasant village.<\/p>\n

Etla is also famous for its white jewel known as Quesillo \u201cStripped cheese\u201d<\/h3>\n

On Wednesday is its market day, you will be able to find the most famous product there, Quesillo, or Oaxaca cheese as it is known throughout the country.<\/p>\n
